The Story

The Little Sparo sits in a restaurant space once occupied by a diner with spectacular harbour views in downtown St. John’s. Guided by persistently exceptional standards, Opal Hospitality saw an opportunity to do things differently.

The Vision

Opal Hospitality wanted to create an elevated, intimate restaurant experience and comfortable community gathering place. We saw a need in St. John’s for approachable but high-end dining where people would want to gather and spend hours enjoying company.

What Opal Executed

Designed and operated by Opal Hospitality, The Little Sparo opened in October 2020. We prioritize delivering delicious, simple, Italian-classic meals and a high-calibre service experience. Under Executive Chef Stephen Vardy’s guidance, the Little Sparo’s food and beverage program focuses on quality ingredients and the passion and patience to let them work their magic. We’ve proudly created a welcoming and comfortable environment that surpasses customer expectations.
